More Photos from Loop Studios - June 2010

We've been in the studio for over two weeks now, in a few more days we should be finished up. Its been a very amazing experience. There will be videos up in due time. For the meantime here are some photos of us doing some percussion and fiddle overdubs plus a bit of lazing around in the studio during mixing times. More photos follow after the cut.

The Epic of Gilgamesh: Live at the 2010 Perth International Arts Festival from The Epic of Gilgamesh on Vimeo.
A culmination of the musical forces of Injured Ninja and French Rockets - on February 27th, 2010 the Epic of Gilgamesh made a return after a year of absence, but this time as a whole new musical beast, more concentrated and mightily powerful than before. Gracing the glorious stage of the Beck's Music Box at the 2010 Perth International Arts Festival, this was a show not to be missed. Luckily, if you did, you have now been granted an esteemed second chance. Above is the full performance in all its glory, please enjoy with compliments.

Injured Ninja and French Rockets WIN 2010 WAMi Award for 'Most Popular Single/EP'!

Somewhat suprisingly we managed to to walk away with a glorious cake last night at the WAMi awards. It was totally unexpected by us, so forgive us if our speech was kind of haphazardly delivered. A big thanks to everyone who voted, French Rockets for participating with us in this project, Scott Bishop and Heartless Robot Records, Trevor Cotton at Shogun Studios, Kieran Kenderessy and Loop studios and everyone else who was instrumental in making this project come to life - you know who you are, and there were a lot of you!
We haven't eaten the cake yet. Next week we'll catch up with FR and feast!
